Catastrophe Closes In
Updated: Oct 24, 2021
Hello there.
I've started a blog. Oh no, I hear you wail. But! There was no news section on this site. And won't this be a nice way to consume some Broken Chanter #content without having to run the risk of seeing something dreadful float down the open sewer of social media?
You may or may not have noticed that I've got a new record coming out. It's the one on the front page of this website. Catastrophe Hits is out on the 29 October 2021 on Last Night From Glasgow/Olive Grove Records and it was recorded and produced by the great Paul Savage at Chem 19 earlier this year. It's ten absolutely crackin pop songs played by some amazingly talented musicians and, well, me. It's really good, is what I'm saying. Why not have a read of a feature about it, including interview with yours truly, over in The Weekender?
Two singles from this new LP have already seen the light of day and danced across the airwaves: Extinction Event Souvenir T-shirt; and Dancing Skeletons. You can buy both over on Bandcamp.
The video for Dancing Skeletons will be previewed later this week, but while you wait to treat your eyes with that, check out the Extinction Event Souvenir T-Shirt one below, shot by the ace Runabout Films.
Please check out the Tour page for upcoming shows. I was pretty cautious booking for the remainder of 2021 because of, you know, but I have lots planned for 2022, yet to be announced. Also, slip into my email if you wanna chat about shows.
I would draw your attention in particular to the album launch for Catastrophe Hits at the CCA in Glasgow on 19 November 2021. A full band extravaganza. Get your tickets here while you still can. It's going to be ace.
Anyway, that's enough for now. I hope you're having/have had a good day. Have a glass of water and concentrate on your breathing for a minute. We'll get through this.
keep safe
